Zero-cost migration policy

Kathmandu, 01 August 2015, LPS

Our country Nepal has stopped issuing labour permit to migrant workers. Government  will do so for candidates whose air tickets and visa fees are not being paid by their prospective employers.

The government has implemented its zero-cost migration policy from July denying migrant workers. Provides labour permits to work in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, and Kuwait.

After the new policy came into effect, recruitment agents who do not have letters from the prospective employer committing to pay for air tickets and visa fees have been unable to obtain labour permits for their clients.
